Virtual live facilitator-led courses give you comprehensive training right from your own computer. Virtual Live Classroom (VLC) training provides hands-on learning, interactivity and participant engagement, all with the flexibility of learning from wherever you choose. Practical components are demonstrated whereafter the student completes the training requirements by gaining the necessary practical experience at a face-to-face practical training day that occurs on site in Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban, George, Port Elizabeth, Nelspruit, Windhoek and Harare.

Follow up of workers at risk
Follow up with workers who are at risk more frequently and in the workplace. These workers will be identified in the HRA and during medical surveillance. When following them up some of the point to consider are:
Is the worker using the PPE and is it fit for the purpose?Is the worker using it correctly?
If the worker should be wearing corrective lenses is the worker compliant with the recommendation?
Do the workers know where the safety and emergency treatment stations are specifically for eyes such as water fountains,
Are there underlying medical reasons that make the worker more prone to vision loss, are these conditions under control and being managed?
These workers should be monitored closely, frequently and notes should be made in the worker’s file on recommendations, referral, management, and controls in place.
