Health Risk Assessment

A health risk assessment is an inspection of the work environment, equipment, and systems to determine potential hazards and implement safety systems to prevent injury. Through an HRA, hazards and risks will be identified, who might be at risk, and where control measures are needed to prevent illness and injury. The main purpose of a health risk assessment is to focus on providing workers with a safe, healthy environment. Improving safety and reducing the potential liability issues facing a company. This process includes a thorough inspection of the work environment, equipment, and systems to determine potential hazards and implement safety systems to prevent injury. A health risk assessment followed by a hygiene survey is an important part of the occupational health and safety (OHS) management plan.
