SASOHN Conference, Pretoria, South Africa – October 2019

Congratulations SASOHN Pretoria for hosting a fabulous SASOHN conference. Petro and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves representing Education for Health Africa at the 50 shades of Purple meeting this year. Apart from the fact that the educational sessions, venue, various functions and food were great, purple is my favourite colour and I enjoyed dressing to the theme :).

We couldn’t help but think back to where we are now as a business vs where we were last year at the SASOHN 2018 conference at Spier in the Western Cape, when Education for Health was just a month old. This year has been one of development, innovation, growth and team work. Thank you to our incredible EFHA team: Petro my partner and friend, together with Lindie and Karin, Leagh, Wendy, Yvonne, Wilna, Percy, Thobeka and TK. Each one of you I know has been God sent and you are appreciated more than you can imagine.

As we look forward now to 2020, we are looking forward to presenting various topics of interest in Occupational Health at SASOHN regional meetings. We are launching our e-learning refresher courses as well as our 6 module Mini Occupational Health Programme. Our Buddy Mentorship Support Programme is well underway. Our 2020 training calendar is finalised and on our website together with our new price lists.

Lastly thank you to each one of you who have supported us in getting started and mostly thank you to God who gave me this dream and a unique positioning to give our students a “leg up” and do our bit in making the world a better place.
