This 5 day course is designed for social workers, counsellors, EAP practitioners, nurses and psychologists. The course will assist learners to understand the theoretical foundation to HIV, the disease and effective personal management thereof; to appropriately and sensitively counsel people affected by HIV. This is a non-credit bearing short course.
Testing the fit of employees’ respirators may be the most safety-sensitive and critical task performed by occupational health professionals. Besides performing the “mechanics” of fit-testing correctly, fit-testers must also understand the logic and theory behind the testing. This course presents theory and hands-on practice with widely used quantitative (QNFT) and qualitative (QLFT) fit-testing methods in a one-day workshop.
This 2 day course is designed for line managers and supervisors to proactively manage employee wellness, identify troubled employees, host a constructive conversation and refer employees into health and wellness services.
