Karin Meyer is an experienced Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner with a passion for the workers. She sees education, training and mentoring new occupational health nurses as the gateway to a high standard of Occupational Health Nursing.
She obtained her B. Cur degree at the University of Port Elizabeth and worked in various departments in hospitals, including clinical teaching. She then moved to private clinics were she ran healthy baby, family planning, primary health care and Immunation and travel medicine clinics.
In 2006 she became a partner in a private Occupational Health Practice. She obtained her Diploma in Occupational Health Nursing at Wits University in 2008 cum laude. She left the practice early in 2018 to join her husband when he retired to the family farm. Karin can now focus on education and traning and in this way transfer the experience she has gained.
Karin has two adult sons.
