Fiona started her professional medical career in 1982 after graduating from Wits. She registered as a medical doctor and then specialized in Public Health Medicine and 2 years later in Occupational Health. In addition to the consulting work, Fiona has a love of teaching and ran the post-graduate Diploma in Occupational Medicine and Health at the University of Pretoria for 14
years. She also travelled extensively to places not usually considered destinations of first choice, like Nigeria, Ghana, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan and Libya.
